The Way goes ever ever more,
Over rock and under tree,
By caverns where never light has come down,
By rivers that never join the ocean;
Over white by winter spread,
And down the cherry blossom of Spring,
On the ground and on the trees
And below mountains in the sky.
The Way goes ever ever more,
In front the house where it happened
Yeah over there the Way has fled,
But I have to go, it’s time,
Walking on until the end,
But I will find a passage to the sea
There all the pilgrims all gather.
But who knows where it is?
Who can reveal ?
The Way goes ever ever more.
Le Chemin s’élance toujours, toujours plus loin,
Par-dessus les rochers et sous les arbres,
Par des cavernes où jamais la lumière n’est descendue,
Par des rivières qui ne rejoignent jamais l’océan ;
Sur les étendues blanches de l’hiver,
Et sur les cerisiers en fleurs du printemps,
Sur le sol et sur les arbres,
Et sous les montagnes, dans le ciel.
Le Chemin s’élance toujours, toujours plus loin,
Devant la maison où c’est arrivé
Oui, là-bas, le Chemin s’est enfui,
Mais je dois y aller, il est temps,
Marcher jusqu’au bout,
Mais je trouverai un passage vers la mer.
Là, tous les pèlerins se rassemblent.
Mais qui sait où il est ?
Qui peut le révéler ?
