Since I had the opportunity to sing with the radio france choir the magnificent slovene folk song Pa se sliš’ under the direction of Martina Batic, I wanted to offer my own version of these bells which are enriched by the increasingly tight rhythms of the accompaniment on the unalterable base of the bass, an allegory of time passing which is at the same time in the second of the present moment and stretches to infinity… The project was to write something very easy for men (specially for basses), in a certain way it’s a tribute to women. We are here simply accompanying them, but supporting them, causing the harmonics of the bells…
