Courage et force jaillissaient de son coeur:

1) Aux temps antiques du grand roi Dagobert,
En vallée d’Eauze tu venais à la vie.
Déjà en toi, Ô Saint, Dieu notre Père
Préparait l’homme qui portait un tel fruit.
2) Pour t’honorer, on choisit comme abbaye
Ce très beau lieu nommé Saint Valérien.
Tournus, notre cité, connut famine
Lorsque ton corps partit à Saint Pourçain.
3) Baignée au vin, on vit tant de prodiges,
Ta foi permit tant d’oeuvres merveilleuses.
Et en Bourgogne on clame ton prestige
Autun d’autres se disent bienheureuses!
4) Saint Philibert nous voici dans tes murs
Car nous voulons tous encore aujourd’hui
Chanter toujours ton patronage sûr
Ta bienveillance qui jamais ne tarit!
